Pride in the fruits of a five-year association

Since the partnership with the Sydney Roosters was signed at the start of the 2006 season, Sydney Roosters players have supported Newtown in its pursuit of NSW Cup success.

Fifteen [15] of the twenty-one [21] players in the Roosters 2010 NRL Grand Final team have made small to very significant contributions to the on-field success of Newtown Jets NSW Cup sides from 2006 to 2010.

In particular, Roosters players were part of our two Grand Final contests. Mitch Aubusson, Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Lopini Paea were part of the team that took on Parramatta in the 2006 Grand Final, along side Jamie Soward, Josh Lewis and Mickey Paea, and in 2008, Jake Friend and Martin Kennedy together with Mickey Paea and Anthony Cherrington, were key players in the amazing 2008 100-minute Grand Final marathon against Wentworthville, Parramatta's feeder club.

Here's how the recent histories of the two clubs are intertwined
